LADY WILDCATS BEAT REDWATER IN THREE

REDWATER — The Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats are back at the .500 mark on the season following a road sweep against the Redwater Lady Dragons Friday. Following a hard fought win in the first set, the Lady Wildcats were able to control the game the rest of the way, leading to a win. During the game, junior Trinity Jefferson reached a big career milestone: coming up with her 1,000th career assist. The first set would be hard fought from start to finish, with both teams playing hard and tough. The Lady Wildcats would win the first set 25-23, taking the early lead. The next set would see the Lady Wildcats take their game to a new level, while the Lady Dragons struggled to keep up. The Lady Wildcats dominated the second set for a 25-6 win, increasing their lead to 2-0. The third set would be more of the same, as the Lady Wildcats continued their stellar play, while the Lady Dragons simply had no answers for them. The Lady Wildcats would cruise their way to a 25-12 win in the third set, capping off a sweep. With the win, the Lady Wildcats improved to 1313 on the season. They resumed action Tuesday, traveling to Emory to face off against the Rains Lady Wildcats.
