TEXARKANA — The Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats began district play strong Friday with a road sweep of the Liberty-Eylau Lady Leopards. They would control the game early and never gave the Lady Leopards a chance, leading to the sweep. The first set would see the Lady Wildcats dominate from the start, as the Lady Leopards struggled. The Lady Wildcats won the first set 25-8, establishing the lead. The next set saw the Lady Leopards improve their game, as they put more points on the board. Despite this, the Lady Wildcats came out on top in the second set, winning 25-17 and extending their lead to 2-0. The third set would be hard fought, as each team played well. In the end, the Lady Wildcats would win the third set 25-18, completing the sweep. With the win, the Lady Wildcats are 1-0 in district and 16-14 overall. They resumed action Tuesday, traveling to Paris to face off against the North Lamar Pantherettes.
